I read a lot of comics and most of them are online. I use The Webcomics List to tell me when things are updated because I like their system. I'm trying to shorten my list so that I'm only reading things I want to and so that I don't spend an hour every day reading comics. I have better things to be doing than reading some of these. I went from seventy-two favorites to forty-one. There are a few that I am iffy on, so they may be off the list in the next couple of weeks. Here are the comics that I like to read... http://www.thewebcomiclist.com/share.php?id=2648

Allycia and myself found a copy of the newest issue of MAKE Magazine, and I love it. I want to get into making things, especially electronic things. I have an idea of something that I want to make, but I need about $150 dollars for the parts, one of which is the Daisy kit from MAKE magazine. It costs a little more than $100, but it would be a good way to learn some electronic things.

Two magazines I need to subscribe to, and another I want to too Jan. 25th, 2007 @ 11:25 pm

Oh man, these two magazines are amazing. I want to subsrcibe to both of them right now so badly. They are filled with things to make and things to craft! JOY!

The other magazine that I want to subsrcribe to is Electronic Gaming Monthly. This is because EGM is the best magazine about video games out there. Really, everything in the 1up network is amazing (at least EGM and the 1up Show...)

I will definately be subscribing to the top two, and maybe EGM? It would be nice to.

Also, I need to start getting my comics at Million Year Picnic. I have never been there, but I will be there Saturday! I have heard excellent things.

EDIT: EGM is only a dollar an issue, so I am definately going to subscribe for two years for $24. So worth it.

A good reason that I should learn more adjectives Sep. 22nd, 2006 @ 08:59 am
I did not bring a tv with me to college. This varies between excellent idea and oh man I am missing all the shows I like horrible. To help change this I tried out buying shows on iTunes. I bought an episode of Stargate: SG-1 and an episode of Stargate: Atlantis. Both episodes were amazing, especially the Atlantis episode because it features to McKays and that is always a good thing. Always.

The theme to Atlantis is usually one of my favorite parts of the show. It is the kind of theme that if I am paying attention then I get shivers in my arms and feel all excited and awesome about whatever adventures I am going to have. It is this majestic feeling like you can take on anything, but still be all cool and calm.

I am going home tonight! Knitting will hopefully continue as I watch new episodes of both Stargate shows with my girlfriend. Progress on my new scarf is very slow. Between school, sleep, and reading for fun I have not had time to get to it. I also need to read more of my copy of Making Comics, by Scott McCloud. There is story about when I got the book that is pretty cool! I went to a lecture at MIT, which was not as far away as I thought it was. It was raining, so it was still not the greatest walk. I wore my Skull Panda head shirt from "Sam and Fuzzy" and I made the most awkward conversation with Jeph Jacques of Questionable Content fame. He is a really cool guy! He is also a very tall guy too! Somehow I managed to get my arm around him for a picture, which came out really nice I think. There were also a bunch of people from Comixpedia there, and they were all super awesome people. Afterwards I went out to eat with them! I don't know why they invited me, but they did, so I went along. I felt a little out of place becuase I was a few years to many years yonger than everyone there. They probably thought I was older because of my SUPER MANLY BEARD that I accidentally grew because I kept not shaving until last night. A bunch of people from my floor here said that I should grow out the beard, but I am waiting until my hair starts to grey to do that. Then I will look like I have aged well maybe? Hopefully!

I also need to get some new comics. Civil War, Runaways, and NEXTWAVE all had a comic this week! I hope there is still some of these in stalk. Especially Runaways and NEXTWAVE. The two are probably some of the only good comics coming out of Marvel right now.
